复习也精彩---Strategies of Reading课堂赏析

Introduction

本节课由两个课时组成,其中第一课时是让学生完成两张阅读理解(所选篇目全部来源于2009全国各地的中考卷)的测试卷,第二课时是针对学生所完成的测试卷,培养学生解答阅读理解题时的良好习惯以及解题时所用的策略和方法。这里讲述的是第二课时的内容。

 

Teaching aims:

Knowledge object:  Let students know the strategies of reading.

Ability object: The students will be able to work out the problems of reading comprehension more correctly.

Moral object: Studying is hard,but we have to face it. We can not change the life, but we can change the attitude.

Teaching key points and difficulties

Get students know about the strategies of reading and use the strategies of reading freely

Teaching procedures

Step I Warming up

  T: Good morning, boys and girls.

  SS: Good morning, Ms Xiong.

  T: Today, let’s talk about something easy and interesting.

   (show three pictrues: QQ farm, QQ blog, chat on QQ)

(设计意图: 通过三张学生比较感兴趣的图片,激发学生的求知欲.)

Step II Make a survey

1.      Choose your own answers.

1)      What do you talk about on QQ on weekends?

(1) homework     (2) chat     (3) test answers     (4) computer games

2)      What do you put on your QQ blog?

A. Some pictures    B. Good articles   C. DV films    D. Japanese cartoons

C. QQ is a good place for us to make a record of our lives.

D. We can chat on QQ on weekdays though we have lots of homework.

2. Give a report.

(设计意图: 这三个题目是来源于上一节课练习的短文A, 通过表格调查的形式,让学生们说出自己不同的答案,从而过渡到下一个环节,介绍阅读策略.)

Step III Presentation 

      T: some of your answers are the same, but other answers are different. But do you think if we can have different answers when we do exercises about reading comprehension?

      Ss: No.

  1. Introduce question types of reading comprehension

1)      事实询问题.

2)      词义推理题.

3)      主旨大意题

4)      推理判断题

  1. Elicit every question type.

1)      事实询问题:

   看清题目,从原文中寻找答案来源,并在相应的地方标记符号,方便检查核对.

   …Every year, high waters hit the city in Autumn and Winter, when a lot of water comes, more than half of the city is underwater…..

 59. What seasons are dangerous for Venice because of the high water?

(解释完毕,再针对练习卷上的A 篇短文练习相应的事实询问题.并让学生说出是如何确认这个答案的.比如说53, 54, 55)

   明确题意,抓住关键单词,正确使用排除法。

4)      推理判断题

推理是对文章中未说明的趋势结局做合理推断,而非文中己经提及的事实,力求从作者的角度去考虑,不要固守自己的看法或观点,抓住材料实质性的东西,作选择时所选答案与作者的立场保持一致,这也是一条原则.

   (此环节的设置是为了让学生自己分析使用前面总结的那四条阅读策略,加深印象.)

教学反思

       阅读是主动地,积极地获取信息的创造行为,是培养学生通过视觉感知书面文字符号并获取信息能力的途径, 更是提高听说读写能力的有力杠杆, 它在英语学习中起着至关重要的作用.而阅读理解主要考查学生对于不同体裁或不同语言材料的理解能力,以及通过材料的阅读,对材料中信息的捕获能力.应该说这堂课中考中阅读理解题设置的四个不同的题型来分析,引导学生如何能快速准确地抓住有用的信息起到了良好的作用,提高了学生分析问题,解决问题的能力.这节课容量大,材料的选择也接近现实生活,紧跟时代节拍,能激发学生学习的兴趣.

       但是不足的是, 由于材料多,容量大,学生在到处找题目的时候方向不是很明确,可以把所有的材料本来就按照题型来分类,材料也可以适当地精减,做到杂而不乱.其次,学生阅读的量没有一个考核标准,可以测算一下每篇短文的单词数,并给一个考量的标准,比如说5-10分钟,提高学生的解题速度.或者也可以让学生自己测算一下每篇短文用时多少,然后和标准相比较,了解自己的差距,使阅读理解的复习更有针对性. 还有,虽说是读写课,但是没有突出读的部分,如果再能选择一篇经典的文章让学生来朗读甚至背诵, 更能体现读写课的特色
