       PEP  四(下)Unit 2 B What time is it?课堂赏析 - Jennifer - 宁静致远

Teaching aims:                   

1.       Three skills: get up, go to bed, go home, go to school

2.       The students will understand and be able to use the sentence: It’s time to ….

3.       The students will be able to learn the chant with the tape.

Teaching points:

Three skill expressions: get up, go to bed, go home, go to school

Teaching difficulties:

The difference between It’s time for…. and It’s time to …..

Teaching aids:

ppt, tape, cards

Teaching steps:

Step 1 Warm up and revision

1.       Sing the song Ten Little Candles Dance.

T: Boys and girls, let’s sing a song first. Let’s see who can sing better, Group A or Group B.

Ss sing the song together. Then Group A sing, then Group B.

T: Can you find the numbers in the song?

S1: Yes, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

2.       Let’s chant.

T: Can you find the numbers in the chant?

S2: Yes, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.

T: Do you want to learn this chant? Let’s listen to the tape and read after the tape.

Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat until they are able to chant with the tape.

3.       Revise numbers.

T: Numbers are useful, do you know these numbers (from 1 to 59)? Say the numbers you see out loudly. Group A, first. Then Group B.

After that, get the students to read the numbers they don’t say well after the teacher. Then get individual students to read the numbers.

4.       Revise time.

T: Numbers are useful. They can tell the time. You can see numbers on the clock. Look at the clock, what time is it?

S3: It’s 2:00 / 6:00 / 9:00.

(设计说明:课堂中一下子出现十几位老师,学生的紧张心情显而易见,通过带有数字的歌曲作为课堂的热身,即放松了学生的心情,又自然的引出本课的重点之一数字。唱第一遍的时候同学们还很紧张,第二遍要开始分两大组爬梯摘苹果比赛,同学们就能放松不少,进入上课的状态。)

Step 2 Presentation and practice

1. T: Look at the clock carefully. What time is it?

S4: It’s 8:30.

2. T: Good. Read after me, eight thirty, it’s eight thirty.

3. Then get the students to ask one by one:

A: What time is it?

B: It’s eight thirty. What time is it?

C: It’s eight thirty. What time is it?

Follow the same step with 10:05, 2:35 and 4:55.

4 Game

T: Look at this clock, what time is it? You can pick the time from the tree and put it in the basket.

Choose one student from each group to the front. The others in the group say out the time loudly. According to the time the student from each group spends on the game, teacher tells the winner.

5.       T: Here’s another clock. What time is it?

S5: It’s seven o’clock. (Help the student to say.) It’s time for breakfast.

Teach: It’s time to eat breakfast. Get the students to read the sentences after the teacher. Choose one group to read the last sentence one by one.

Follow the same step with: It’s time to eat lunch.

                      It’s time to eat dinner.

6.       T: You can see numbers on the watch, too. What time is it?

Help the students to answer: It’s seven o five. It’s time for school. It’s time to go to school. Teach: go to school.

Follow the same step with: It’s 4:35. It’s time for home. It’s time to go home.

                      It’s 9:00. It’s time for bed. It’s time to go to bed.

                      It’s 6:30. It’s time to get up.

7.       T: This is Chen Jie’s Day. Can you help her finish the sentences?

It’s time to get up.

It’s time to go to school.

It’s time to go home.

It’s time to go to bed.

8.       T: What time does Chen Jie do these things? Open your English books, turn to Page 19. Read Let’s learn after the tape.

9.       T: Help Chen Jie to say something about her day according to her timetable. You can begin like this: Hello, I’m Chen Jie. This is my timetable. It’s 6:30. It’s time to ….

Get several students from each group to say something about Chen Jie’s day.

(设计说明:在每个教学环节设置一些跳一跳就能够到的“苹果”非常重要,我在新知的展示中很重视对学生旧知的复习,通过旧知引出新知,环环紧扣,让大多数学生体验到成就感。)

Step 3 Consolidation and extension

1.       T: Fill in your timetable and say something about your day.

 eg. Hello, I’m XXX. This is my timetable. It’s ….

2.       T: Time is money. Time flies. Time has wings. A year’s plan starts with spring. We should save time and make a plan. Then we can make our life a better one.

(设计说明:让学生将所学知识与实际生活相结合并用目标语表达出来是学习语言的主要目的,能够在同时进行节约时间合理安排时间的情感教育就更好了。但由于在上个教学环节中操练时间过长,这个教学环节的教学任务只能布置为作业。)

 

反思

    整节课教学目标明确,所有的教学活动与教学内容相结合。学生语言时间充分,集体操练与个体操练相结合,学生参与积极性高,参与面也广,较好达到教学目标。但同时可以看出对新知的操练形式比较死板,可以更丰富些;若是能够设计一个情景,使语言更贴近生活,就更能扩展学生的思维;在基础知识已巩固的情况下,可设计些开放性活动让不同层次的学生各抒己见。
